A small swatch of beta cloth (approx 1.7cm x 1 cm) flown on the Apollo 13 Lunar Module, Encapsulated inside a 4.75 x 2.75 inch acrylic block.

The Beta Cloth comes from the Apollo 13 Lunar Module Flown Cargo Netting, that was used to make these Grumman Employees Awards (several of which Moonpans have sold for well over $1000). The material in question was acquired from William Looney, the Lunar Module Test Manager at Grumman.

Comes with an 8 page booklet containing details of Authenticity, Images & Descriptions as well as a detailed chronology of events surrounding the Apollo 13 explosion. Plus a white presentation box with Apollo insignia.

Please note these acrylics are smaller than our Apollo 12 and Apollo 16 Moonpans Acrylics

This photo taken during the Apollo 13 mission shows the actual netting alongside Jack Swigert
