Apollo 10 was considered the dress rehersal for the first Moon landing, and its objective was to test the Lunar Module in Lunar Orbit. This patch was carried to within 50,000 feet of the Lunar Surface inside the Lunar Module, before re-docking with the Command Module, Charlie Brown, and coming home. During the trip back to Earth, the capsule was recorded as having reached the highest speed ever by a manned vehicle at approximately 24,791 Mile Per Hour, making this the fastest patch you can buy!
The patch is from the personal collection of Apollo 10 Commander, Tom Stafford and is affixed to a Letter of Authenticity which Stafford has personally typed and signed.
