Gemini 9 flown heatshield lucite originating from the personal collection of Apollo moonwalker Eugene Cernan. The Lucite is accompanied by a hand signed letter detailing the provenance of the item as well as a photo of Cernan holding the lucite. He signed the top portion of the lucite and hand wrote along the side 'Flown heat shield from Gemini 9 – Spacewalk from Hell – From my personal collection
The actual heatshield piece measures .5 x.5 x 1.75 inches The overall lucite size is 3inch diameter and 2.5 inches tall
