Apollo insurance covers are postal envelopes that were usually printed with a mission emblem cachet, stamped, signed by the crew and postmarked on the day of launch. The astronauts' families then retained these special covers as a type of insurance against the possibility of an accident in space that would not allow the crew to safely return to earth.
Framed using archival materials below a stunning 23x8 inch Moonpans Panorama showing Dave Scott at Station 2 dwarfed by the magnificence of Radley Rille, plus two 4 inch AB Emblem Patches
Overall size is approx 27x18 inches
The cover came originally from the personal collection of Apollo 15 CMP Al Worden and comes with an Al Worden signed COA, a photo of Worden holding the cover and Apollo 15 Mission Profile Card.
